Where is Leyland..?

As of June 2008, the largest Leyland number that has been proven to be prime is 26384405 + 44052638 with 15071 digits. From July 2004 to June 2006, it was the largest prime whose primality was proved by elliptic curve primality proving.[3] There are many larger known probable primes such as 913829 + 991382,[4] but it is hard to prove primality of large Leyland numbers. Paul Leyland writes on his website: "More recently still, it was realized that numbers of this form are ideal test cases for general purpose primality proving programs. They have a simple algebraic description but no obvious cyclotomic properties which special purpose algorithms can exploit."

fleeting outlines

lines from somewhere midst the Indian Ocean, moon of reckless water:

Thoughts where dark silence might otherwise bloom, still call to me... Tis difficult to proceed in and through the tangle of words when one is a fleeting outline of light, as seen on a distant cloud at sunset. Presently i gaze into an Indian Ocean sunset, which no words can touch - perhaps one could say that to look upon it is to receive a part of oneself, melting infinity in shifting hues poured into a heart igniting aerial wildfire, an absolute love which shatters a person and leaves only being, if just for a moment. Or i could, say nothing... in the dark bloom of silence.

The sun sinks further. The fire leaves bluish grey clouds like ashes strewn upon the sky. The last light of dusk glimmers on the changing waters. There is rain in the distance.

a segue from touch

morning found sweetly aloft, tides of warmth at each drifting off between neighborly Cantonese and the misty concrete sounds of morning traffic, slowly rising. Green tea in hand we wait for the 12 to show it's impossible rectangular visage. Last night sharing criminal tendencies, Rogue Red, PBR and the abandoned whiskey drink. A lovely spell in the stairwell, moments throughout...
